The Human Microbiome: Our Forgotten Organ – at Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust

Extraordinary new discoveries have been made about beneficial bacteria, viruses and fungi living throughout the human body. Disruptions in this community of microscopic life, known as the human microbiome, are now implicated in a multitude of conditions. Outnumbered by more than a hundred bacterial cells to each of our human cells, it’s time to expand our perceptual fields and relate to the human individual as part of a vast, invisible ecological system – continuous with soil, sea and air. We will explore the microbiome-gut-brain axis, palpate the lung and gut microbiomes and learn treatment approaches for working with the microbial field.

Speaker: Viola Sampson B.Sc., R.C.S.T., B.C.S.T.
